Wolf House Cottages are located on the edge of Silverdale in the hamlet of Gibraltar.
On your doorstep you will find The Wolfhouse Gallery run by ceramicist Wyn Abbot and partner Colin. Not only a working pottery but a wide mix of handcrafted gifts are beautifully displayed in the former cow shippen.
Just across from the gallery is The Wolfhouse Kitchen, which has built up a very good reputation based on serving genuine homemade cakes, light meals and good coffee.
Tucked away in a corner there is another special studio occupied by artists Janice Macgloine and her daughter who produce original and unique artwork.
A 10 minute walk will take you to all the village amenities which include: 2 pubs; an Indian restaurant; a butchers shop; a chemist; a Co-op supermarket; a newsagents; two churches; a fish van on Wednesday mornings! There is a well maintained golf course which is 2 miles from the centre. The club also serves meals.

Situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on the edge of Morecambe Bay, there are numerous walks from the cottages taking you through mixed woodland, low lying hills, limestone pavements and along coastal paths. You can walk or cycle from the cottages to the RSPB Reserve at Leighton Moss which is very nearby.
Silverdale train station is 2 miles away with links to Carnforth, Lancaster and Manchester to the south and Arnside, Grange, Barrow and Carlisle to the North. There is a regular shuttle bus service to the station with pick up points throughout the village.
