The Gallery Cottage

The Gallery Cottage accommodates up to 4 people on one level, and is a recently converted holiday cottage, with work taking place on the building from the summer of 2023 to October 2025. This is a special holiday cottage with quite a back story! For the past 50 years, this former 18th century Cow Shippen had been well known as Wolf House Gallery, a thriving, friendly meeting place for local and not so local visitors to escape and to enjoy arts, crafts and quality coffee and cakes. Much of this history is retained in the holiday cottage now, from the brass Wolf House Gallery door knocker, to the chosen original paintings on the walls and the large antique till on display, used daily by Ted and Denise Dowbiggin, the Gallery owners. This unique farm building with its oak beams and thick stone walls is once again welcoming visitors to relax, unwind by the fire and to explore the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape.
