The Old Cottage
The Old Cottage is the smaller of our Morecambe Bay holiday properties and it sleeps up to 4 people (with an additional small bunk bedroom for 2 young children). It has great character and was the original farmhouse. It has thick limestone walls and oak beams in the lounge. It is covered in flowering creepers from May to September.
The Cottage kitchen was completely refurbished in February 2015 and now incorporates French windows that open out into the garden and patio seating area.
The garden room leading from the lounge has been much appreciated by all our guests. It has a slate roof and therefore never becomes too hot or too cold. Here you can dine, listen to music, or just relax. Song birds such as whitethroat, garden warbler and linnet are also frequent visitors. Aspiring artists have found inspiration from the views over the fields to the woods beyond and the perfect location for a Morecambe Bay holiday.

We loved the quirky touches. The amazing rocking horse suspended above the spiral stairs and the old fashioned cash register on the sideboard. It has a huge terrace from which to view the sunset and a pretty little courtyard garden. All this and great walks straight from the door. Also close enough to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes for a day trip. Read Less

From the welcome by Denise with flowers from the garden and bottle of wine, the exceptional cottage accommodation with it's beautiful pottery, textiles and original art work-and everything you might need for equipment and comfort.....to the beautiful outdoor surroundings.Lots of interest in the immediate vicinity- coastal and hill walks on National Trust lands , produce from the farm across the road and to top it all first class food from Wolf house barn on site. And the sunsets are glorious!! Just don't go when we want to go again- we're already booked for next year. Best wishes Jean and Albert. Read Less
